The Eagles previously attempted to sign Kirk in 2022, but were outbid by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who offered him a four-year contract worth $72 million. If the Eagles had secured Kirk, they might not have pursued A.J. Brown in the 2022 draft. Kirk's performance in 2022 was exceptional, but his production has been on a downward trend over the past three seasons, partly due to injuries.
However, in 2025, Kirk demonstrated his resilience by stepping up in the absence of star receiver Nico Collins, who was injured during the playoffs. Kirk's speed and route-running skills remain intact, making him a valuable asset for a contender.
